Burgersdorp
Eastern Cape hospitality
So, you found this jewel of a town below the Stormberge (Stormmountains). What to do next?
The photo of the main house, where the B&B breakfast is served, covered in snow was taken in July 2007. Burgersdorp and the surrounding mountains can become seriously cold in the winter, but the snow lasted only a few days. No ski slopes or the likes around here, sorry, but roaring fire places and something 'hot' to drink will be easy to find.
In the summer, a cold beer will not be a problem either.
You'll find a great cup of coffee anytime during the year in this beautiful Eastern Cape town.
Monuments in Burgersdorp
Old Brandwag is 1 of 2 forts still in Burgersdorp after the 1899 - 1902 Anglo Boer War. The Jubilee fountain is 1 of 4 in the world. These are 2 of the 10 national monuments you can find in Burgersdorp.
You'll need a good nights rest, with all the walking and fresh air - so come and choose one of our 5 rooms for overnight accommodation in a very quiet setting (and very secure).
